We’re all babes and boys on a budget here. Back to school season has been in full swing since retail brands started blasting our e-mail inboxes with deals back in August. But have no fear because I’m here to help you find the best deals on major must-haves that need space in your closet right now.
The Bag
If you don’t carry a bag to class, then kudos to you. For those that do, please continue reading. The bag is an essential part of the back-to-school season. It holds your beloved notes, maybe a laptop, definitely a ton of pens, tampons, and sticks of gum. So are you more of a backpack gal or tote bag chick? I switched it up every year depending on the time of year. A tote bag made me feel a bit more put together, but a backpack was always just so ~convenient~. Here are a few of my personal favorites plus a few on-trend bags to keep in mind this year.
Vans Calico Patchwork Backpack $32
Lululemon City Adventurer Backpack $128
Madewell Reusable Canvas Tote $5
Fjallraven Vardag Backpack $60
The Fit
Fall trends are brewing, so don’t rush out and grab all the sale items just yet! I suggest getting a piece or two and waiting until October to grab those end-of-fall trend items. Here are some classroom-appropriate items you for sure should grab ASAP.
A fresh pair of Levi’s to last you forever $60-90
A new go-to graphic tee $15-30
A throw-on jacket for cold classrooms
The Kicks
Start the year off on the right foot with a shoe (or two) that screams “I’M READY.” Here are a few of my personal picks that I’ll be wearing constantly this fall:
Target Rylie Bootie by Universal Thread™ $35
Reebok UO Exclusive Club C 85 Vintage Sneaker $70.00
The Not-Necessary-But-Necessary
You definitely need these. Just because.
Something to make you feel golden (plus 10% OFF!) with jewelry from my favorite designer out there: Mejuri.
Something for your personal ‘do with adorable scrunchies and accessories.
Something to make it personal with beautiful pins and patches made in Rhode Island.
And there you have it, folks, a little starter kick for a kick-ass year ahead of you. Good luck on all your coursework and hustle hard! It’s all worth it in the end. And if you don’t believe me, that’s okay. I wouldn’t believe myself either sometimes.
