So you are looking at your almost-empty fridge and you think to yourself, “what the heck am I suppose to cook for dinner tonight?”. Well fear not! I’m here to show you how to combine your last-standing-fridge-survivors to make a delicious side dish!
What You’ll Need:
– Brussel sprouts
– Pistachio nuts
– Italian seasoning
– Salt and peper
– Olive oil
What You Have To Do:
– Prepare brussel sprouts by cutting off the stem and then chopping the sprout into two halves.
– Steam brussel sprouts however you feel fit. Personally, I stick a bunch into a microwavable bowl, add a little bit of water, then cover the top of the bowl with saran wrap. Stick the bowl into the microwave and leave in for 3 minutes. After the timer is up, let the sprouts steam an extra minute.
– Put olive oil into a pan. Add in pistachio nuts and roast for 1 minute.
– Strain steamed brussel sprouts and add to nuts. Roast until browned. Add light salt, pepper, and italian seasonings to your liking.
– Serve and enjoy!
