The Almafi coast was possibly the most amazing place I have ever visited. There was clear blue water, gorgeous landscapes, amazing food, hand made sandals, and a two and a half hour boat tour with awesome people.
The trip began with a bus ride to Pompeii. There, we toured the ancient city and learned about the historical past of Mount Vesuvius’ reputation. We also learned that Pompeii was obsessed with it’s fertility god and the attraction with the longest line was the brothel and every souvenir was male genitalia and Pompeii is just a really really scandalous city. But overall it was an amazing historical experience to be there and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to visit!
Sorrento was where our hotel and dinner was that night. To get here, we drove on a cliff looking over beautiful views as well as held our breathe and prayed that the bus didn’t tip. Dinner was obviously delicious and the city of Sorrento was beautiful and scenic.
Then came Capri. Now, I think back to this moment when I’m laying on a boat in the sunshine looking at cliffs and thinking “I’m in freaking Italy right now just sun bathing with my friends”. And that’s exactly what I was doing. The views of the grottos and cliffs were something out of a AAA brochure. I know I made this joke in my Cinque Terre post but I don’t care, Capri was unreal. While in Capri I also had one of the most delicious caprese panino’s of my life. And I had hand made sandals made for me that were woven in FRONT OF ME.
I miss Capri, can I just go back?
