I know, finally a weekend in Rome!
Well I’ve had several weekends in Rome, but this weekend was a special one. Gretta decided to visit Kristen and I which results in site seeing, shopping, and eating a lot of food! Gretta had a blast, and the three of us got to really explore the city of Rome. I figured since I put together videos and blogs of all the places I’ve visited, why not put together a little blog for a weekend in Rome?!
Something I got to do this weekend that was new was climb to the top of Saint Peter’s Basilica. I had never done that before and it was one of the prettiest views of Rome. The hike up 500 steps wasn’t as bad as people can make it seem, but once you do get towards the top it’s extremely steep and narrow! So if you’re claustrophobic beware! (It’s actually not that bad at all I’m just being dramatic)
It was so nice to see a familiar face from home. Although I do go to class every day with many other PC students it is still nice to see a close friend from Providence. I loved showing Gretta around where I live and hopefully, I’ll get a chance to travel up north to Denmark to see her stomping grounds!
That’s all for now, I’m currently sitting in bed not knowing what to do with myself with this small amount of free time I just found myself in. I leave this Friday for Munich, Germany for the world famous Oktoberfest; I’m sure that will be a very interesting blog post!
Until then, arrivederci!
